I had the honor of photographing this beautiful family shortly before the arrival of their second baby, a sweet, perfect little boy. I’m also blessed to call this mama a friend. She had quite the ordeal getting from Charlotte to Greensboro getting stuck behind an overturned tractor trailer and driving through a monsoon to get to the session. She got here less than 30 minutes before the sun was completely set, but we still got some beautiful photos for her and her family to remember this special time. Can I just say maternity photo sessions are one of my absolute favorites. They are a close tie to newborn photos. I hope you can feel the love coming from these photos as much as I can when I look at them:)
I was so excited when Ilana reached out to me about taking maternity pictures for her this summer! She gave me an idea of some of my gowns she liked and when she came to try some on, I knew we would have a hard time choosing. As you can tell, this mama would make a brown paper bag look good! It was fun getting to photograph a gown I haven’t had the opportunity to use yet, and see her just glow. Kyle wasn’t planning on being in any of the maternity pictures but I am SO glad Ilana could convince him otherwise! Maternity pictures with mom and dad are some of my favorite pictures, ever! I just love the connection you can see and feel in them. Thank you for choosing me to be your photographer in Greensboro. North Carolina is getting another beautiful, very loved baby girl very soon and I can’t wait to meet her!
Kyle also really came in handy for some dress tossing to get the flowy dress photo above;)
Most of my maternity sessions are outdoors in Greensboro, NC so it’s always fun to switch it up a little and try something different every now and then and move things indoors! Christal looked like a total knock out for her studio maternity session. I’m so glad we got to try so many different looks:)
This handsome little guy was so good for his session! His dad didn’t think he’d be able to make it to the session but luckily he surprised us and showed up at the end. I’m so glad he did because newborn photos of baby with their parents are some of my favorites in the world <3
Some of these sessions I’m posting are going to be a year old if I don’t post soon!! Little Andrew was born last fall, as evidence by the fall/wintery blanket in the crib pictures;)
