What a great night for a great family maternity photo shoot. Selma was promised ice cream with sprinkles if she looked at the camera, and let me tell you…I hope she got extra sprinkles because she was amazing! The Arboretum is quite big but nobody complained as we walked to each location. I had a great time meeting this wonderful family and can’t wait to meet their newest baby girl in the next couple months!
I was so happy I could squeeze in a newborn photo session for Jaydon before my friend came to visit from California. He was an absolute dream and his mom and I hit it off immediately. She had never met me, or even spoken to me but was confident and trusting enough in me that she decided to take a nap during the session to catch up on some zzz’s. That’s truly a huge compliment! Jenna has such a fun, kind, warm personality and told me when she was shopping around for newborn photographers that my images spoke to her, that she could feel the love, emotion, and warmth in them. She was seriously the best! I hope my images do for everyone what they do for Jenna:)
Annnnd a funny backstory… two days before our shoot I was at a bridal shower and kept staring at this woman’s AMAZING eyelashes…for like 2 hours. We left at the same time and I stopped her by her car and asked if they were real, and proceeded to gush about how insanely gorgeous they were. She told me she goes to a place called Eye Salons. The name of the business sounded familiar (because of Jenna’s e-mail address) and I said is the owner Jenna? She said YES! I told her, “What a small world, I’m taking her newborn photos on Monday!” Soooo if anyone is looking for the most gorgeous lashes of their life…thicker, longer, fuller, whatever you seriously need to check her out, she’s amazing!
I couldn’t NOT post a picture of his gorgeous eyelashes!

Lovely newborn photography in Greensboro! I love the little gray fox set!
This was a tough session to edit down because these kids were SO amazing for every picture! It even started raining at the end of our session but that didn’t dampen anyone’s moods:) Allie wasn’t totally sure about the water at the end, especially when her brother started splashing in it, but the way she tackled the icing on her cake I’d say she thought it was worth it;) Thank you, Marla for choosing me to photograph your family and document your daughter’s first year/cake smash. It was so fun photographing you!!
Greensboro
After getting our shoot rained out the week before we happened into some perfect weather for the Shilesky’s family maternity session. I love meeting new people and witnessing the excitement of an anticipated baby. We were keeping poor Marlie from a birthday party but she was a good sport about it and smiled for every picture. I can tell she’s going to be an amazing big sister! Amy was such a trooper, we walked so much that I joked we were going to walk the baby right out! I haven’t heard from her yet so obviously that didn’t happen;) I am really looking forward to meeting their baby girl in the next few weeks though!
This little one made me sweat (a lot!) to get her pictures the first couple hours but once she was in a pose, man she rocked them and looked angelic. Her sister, I would’ve guessed was an 8 year old in a 2 year old’s body. She couldn’t have been easier to work with. She did everything I asked, the second I asked her. I wanted to keep her for every sibling shoot:) Congratulations, Brown family. Your girls are gorgeous!!
